The unique history surrounding this November 11th Veterans Day is interesting. In 1918 on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, all major hostilities of World War I were formally ended. Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day and was created to celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans.
