Thrifty Florist was created in 1989. Owner and CEO Chris Rea has done an outstanding job of leading and provided direction for the company. Under his leadership, Thrifty Florist has expanded to 16 locations throughout metro Detroit and surrounding areas. We are Michigan’s largest retail florist and one of the nations leading retailers of flowers and related floral gifts.
Our family of flower shops is proud to be a family owned business with its roots in the metropolitan Detroit area. The first store was started on the Westside of Detroit at the corner of Grand River and Telegraph Road. We started by bringing in flowers by the truckload and selling them at unbeatable prices.
