The first store was started on the Westside of Detroit at the corner of Grand River and Telegraph Road. We started by bringing in flowers by the truckload and selling them at unbeatable prices. We eliminated the middleman and passed the savings on to our customers. When we bypassed the middleman, we found that we were selling fresher flowers than other florists in town; and much to our surprise, our flowers were even fresher than the local wholesalers in town. Customers, to this day, come in and comment about the freshness.
