We Are Detroit’s Premier Floral Design Firm

Thrifty Florist is a family owned and operated floral design firm. Our firm is one of the premier florists in the Southfield and Detroit area. The first store was started on the Westside of Detroit at the corner of Grand River and Telegraph Road. We started by bringing in flowers by the truckload and selling them at unbeatable prices. We eliminated the middleman and passed the savings on to our customers. When we bypassed the middleman, we found that we were selling fresher flowers than other florists in town; and much to our surprise, our flowers were even fresher than the local wholesalers in town. Customers, to this day, come in and comment about the freshness.

Thrifty Florist has been voted Best Local Florist on numerous occasions. We offer the best selection of beautiful, farm fresh flowers in Detroit, Michigan. Thrifty Florist is a second generation, family owned and operated floral design firm. The Rea family opened our first floral design center in 1989. We currently operate sixteen floral design centers, including our Detroit, Michigan Flower Shop location.

We provide local same day and express flower delivery to customers in Detroit and other cities in Michigan. Our firm also provides nationwide same day flower delivery service for customers outside of the Detroit area. We employ an award-winning team of floral designers.
