Thrifty Florist is a family owned and operated floral design firm. We operate 16 flower shop locations in the greater Detroit, Michigan Area. Our award-winning floral design team is one of the best in the state. They create luxurious, upscale floral designs.

Many of the flowers we sell are purchased directly from flower farms. We purchase flowers from both domestic and international growers. One of the most popular floral varieties that we carry is our gorgeous Ecuadorian roses. We buy long stem, spray and garden roses from Ecuador. These Ecuadorian roses are truly something special. They are grown high in the mountains of Ecuador. There the rose plants enjoy the perfect blend of moisture, soil conditions and sunlight. Ecuadorian roses are known for their long stems and large, beautiful blooms.

We started by bringing in flowers by the truckload and selling them at unbeatable prices. We eliminated the middleman and passed the savings on to our customers. When we bypassed the middleman, we found that we were selling fresher flowers than other florists in town; and much to our surprise, our flowers were even fresher than the local wholesalers in town. Customers, to this day, come in and comment about the freshness.

Buying direct has many advantages. For one, it reduces the amount of time between when the flowers are cut at the farm and when they are delivered to our flower shops for use in arrangements. The flowers we purchase are the freshest available. Fresher flowers translates directly into longer vase life for recipients who receive an arrangement from us.
